Duplex / One to one in both directionsComplete Disaster Recovery for two sitesThe Duplex configuration provides an Initiator and Collector pair at two, or more, sites which criss cross data for maximum protection with minimal investment. As depicted below, the Initiator and Collector may share the same hardware platform but this is not mandatory. As an example, for an organization with regional offices in different parts of the country, this solution permits every site’s Collector to receive any number of Multi-Homed jobs from Initiators at peer sites. Conversely, each site’s Initiator can send any number of Multi-Cast jobs out to the Collectors at the other regional hubs.
This approach evenly distributes all files across multiple locations and dramatically reduces the probability of data loss; even if more than one hub is compromised. |
